Head of Finance & Legal

Reporting directly to the CEO and in relation to shareholders and external partners, you will be in charge of all aspects related to finance and legal.

These will include:

  • Defining our global financial standards and forecast process
  • Participating in further fundraising, loans and R&D grants application process
  • Preparing financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Contributing to internal and external audits to ensure compliance and prepare ISO certifications
  • Liaising with the CTO on the implementation of ERP system
  • Liaising with external charted accountant, lawyers and banks
  • Assisting with tax audits and tax returns
  • Performing different types of accounting and reporting tasks for month-end, quarter end, and year end closing, with appropriate and complete supporting documentation
  • Performing monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations and bank reconciliation
  • Performing inter-company reconciliations
  • Manage fixed assets
  • Building and maintaining relationships with other teams, including purchasing, sales, etc.

Requirements

Technical skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience as senior accountant in a holding company.
  • Experience in accounting and reporting for a company group with different subsidiaries, including subsidiaries in other countries & continents
  • Good knowledge of new financial service providers (FinTech’s)
  • Strong experience in due-diligence processes, fundraising and grant application processes would be a plus
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • High proficiency in English, German would be a plus
